Frequently asked questions
Content updated:
Do pills or creams permanently enlarge the penis?+
There is no reliable evidence that over-the-counter pills or topical creams permanently enlarge an adult penis.
Is ligament-cutting surgery proven?+
The AUA states that division of the suspensory ligament for increasing adult length has not been shown to be safe or effective.
Are fillers risk-free because they are non-surgical?+
No. Fillers can cause nodules, asymmetry, infection, vascular injury and dissatisfaction, and may require correction.
Can counselling really help?+
Yes. Accurate measurement, reassurance and support for body-image distress can improve wellbeing without procedural risk.
Does a treatment for girth also increase erect length?+
Not necessarily. Circumference, visible length, stretched length and erect length are different measurements. Ask which outcome a study actually measured and for how long; a claim about one dimension should not be presented as proof of another.
Are a traction device and a vacuum pump interchangeable?+
No. They work differently and have different purposes and evidence. Traction research on length is limited; vacuum devices used for erection support do not establish lasting enlargement. Discuss the specific device with a urologist rather than following an online stretching or pumping routine.
